Discover the magical world of the little spider Widerlich, a charming children's book heroine who enchants young and old alike.
Available from May 2024.
The enchanting picture book adventures about the little spider Widerlich were invented by actress Diana Amft, who has received several awards for her role in "Doctor's Diary", including the GRIIMME Award. "Die kleine Spinne Widerlich" is her first picture book and a wonderful story of encouragement that aims to take away children's and adults' fear of spiders and bring them closer to these small creatures in a friendly way. It was nominated for the ÖSTERREICHISCHE BUCHLIEBLING 2012, was at the top of the picture book bestseller list for a long time and has already been translated into nine languages.
The adventures of the little spider came about because Diana Amft herself is a bit afraid of spiders and at some point asked herself: Why? There's no reason at all. Especially not with these sensitive and lovingly crafted illustrations by Martina Matos, which lend the world of the little spider its very special charm.
